Adrienne Morgan appointed vice president for equity and inclusion and Richard Feldman Chief Diversity Officer
Adrienne Morgan has been named vice president for equity and inclusion and Richard Feldman Chief Diversity Officer at the University of 新萄京娱乐场, effective June 20, 2023. University President Sarah Mangelsdorf announced Morgan’s appointment following a national search and Board of Trustees approval. A leader devoted to promoting diversity, inclusion, and justice in both healthcare and higher education, Morgan has been serving as interim vice president and chief diversity officer since August 2022.
Julia E. Green, Esq., named associate vice president for Civil Rights Compliance and Title IX Coordinator in the Office of Equity and Inclusion
Julia E. Green, Esq. has been named associate vice president for Civil Rights Compliance and Title IX Coordinator in the Office of Equity and Inclusion (OEI). Julia joins the University from Harter Secrest & Emery LLP, where she was a partner. During her 17 years there, Julia first worked on an array of litigation matters, and, over the last ten years, focused her practice on advising higher education institutions on understanding, designing, and implementing processes to address allegations of Title IX sex discrimination and other protected status discrimination.

Blanket Ceremony
The University of 新萄京娱乐场 celebrated its first Blanket Ceremony to honor the graduation of two Native American students. Receiving a blanket in the ceremony symbolizes the community wrapping the individuals in love and support while recognizing their achievements.
OMSA Senior Dinner
The Office of Minority Student Affairs (OMSA) celebrated its 50th annual Senior Dinner. For many undergraduate students of color, OMSA is an essential homebase during their time at 新萄京娱乐场, and the joyful event highlighted that sense of community.

The University of 新萄京娱乐场 has received the 2021 Higher Education Excellence in Diversity (HEED) Award from INSIGHT Into Diversity magazine, the oldest and largest diversity-focused publication in higher education.
As a recipient of the annual HEED Award—a national honor recognizing US colleges and universities that demonstrate an outstanding commitment to diversity and inclusion—新萄京娱乐场 will be featured, along with the other recipients, in the INSIGHT Into Diversity magazine.
